Harry Brighouse is professor of Philosophy and affiliate professor of Educational Policy Studies at University of Wisconsin, Madison. His interests include political philosophy, ethics, philosophy of education, and education policy. He is currently working on a book with Adam Swift (Balliol, Oxford) called Family Values: An Egalitarian Account which will be published by Princeton University Press. Recent publications include On Education (2006); (with Swift) “Legitimate Parental Partiality,” Philosophy and Public Affairs (2009) and (also with Swift), “Putting Educational Equality in its Place,” Educational Policy and Finance (2008). Harry is coordinating the Spencer Foundation’s Initiative on Philosophy in Educational Policy and Practice with Michael McPherson. Harry earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Southern California.
