Michael Milken chairs Knowledge Universe Education, a for-profit company with worldwide operations in early childhood education and distance learning. He is chairman of the Milken Institute, a non-partisan, economic think tank, and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, which focuses on reform of primary and secondary education and recognizes outstanding educators. Mike is also chairman of FasterCures, which seeks improved efficiency in the medical-research process; Fortune magazine called him “The Man Who Changed Medicine” for his three decades of work to accelerate medical solutions. As a financier, Mike is often said to have revolutionized modern capital markets, making them more efficient and democratic by innovating a wide range of financing techniques previously unavailable to smaller entrepreneurial companies. These innovations financed the growth of 3,200 companies. Mike earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
